Advocacy

The American Association of Colleges of Nursing (2008) and the National League for Nursing (2007) unquestionably have recognized that caring is the essential underpinning value for nursing. This probably occurs because nurses perform in accordance with a Code of Ethics that demands they support the best interest of patients, families, and communities which makes them one of the strongest advocates for patients.
