The Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating oncology research studies and data submission for NCI sponsored cooperative group, pharmaceutical, and investigator initiated clinical trials. The Research Coordinator works closely with medical staff to determine patient eligibility, enroll patients on studies, report adverse events, procure and ship biological samples, as well as to ensure that complete and accurate data are collected. The Coordinator assists the Director(s) with planning to assure continued growth and success of the clinical trials research program. Coordinator provides reports to the Cancer Committee and assures that the research program meets ACOS guidelines.
Minimum Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or have demonstrated two years of acute care nursing experience. Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred. Minimum Experience: Three to five years of experience in oncology. Must have a proficient use of Microsoft office suite. Bilingual in Spanish preferred. Certification/Licensure: Current license as an RN in the state of Texas. Current CPR certification.
